Applying Knowledge

The Theory of Knowledge module develops coherent approaches to learning that unify academic disciplines. In this course on critical thinking, students inquire into the 'nature of knowing' as they deepen their understanding of knowledge as a human construction.

Extended Essay Project

Students in the High School community engage in independent research through an in-depth study of issues related to their chosen subjects. To complete this module, research is compiled into an long-form essay and presented for assessment.

High School Evaluation

High School students are evaluated through written examinations at the end of the programme, which are marked by external IB examiners. In addition, students complete assessment tasks which are either initially marked by the school's teachers and then reviewed by external moderators, or sent directly to external examiners. Grades awarded for each course range from 1 (lowest) to 7 (highest). Students may be awarded up to three additional points for their combined results on TOK and EE.

Highest total score: 45 points.
